Focus and Scope

JAM is a scientific, international, peer-reviewed and open-access journal devoted to the field of Mathematics and provides rapid publication of articles frequently in its issues. JAM publishes original review papers, as well as auxiliary material such as Research Papers, Case Studies, Review Articles and Reports, etc. JAM is the place for the exchange of information and research results within all areas of Mathematics and allied fields.

Journal items can be published collectively, as part of an issue with its own Table of Contents. Alternatively, individual items can be published as soon as they are ready, by adding them to the "current" volume's Table of Contents.

Journal Metrics

1. Google-based Impact Factor (2017): 1.634

The impact factor (IF) or journal impact factor (JIF) normally referred to is the proprietary journal impact factor from Thomson Reuters calculated based on the Web of Science (WOS) and published in the Journal Citation Reports® (JCR). Currently, this journal hasn't been indexed in Thomson Reuters JCR. Therefore, its official JCR®JIF is not yet available.

However, Google Scholar now provides an alternative Google-based impact factor. Google Scholar is the only openly available database suitable for journal metric calculation. It has a wide coverage and is a meaningful source. For this reason, journal calculating its own Impact Factor by applying Thomson Reuters'(TR) algorithm based on Google Scholar's citation counts.

The 2017 Google-based impact factor of this journal would be calculated as follows:

IF2017=(Citations2016+Citations2015)/(Publications2016+Publications2015)=1.634

2. h-index (February 2018): 9

The h-index is an author-level metric that attempts to measure both the productivity and citation impact of the publications of a scientist or scholar.

h-index is the largest number h such that h publications have at least h citations.

This journal permits and encourages authors to post items submitted to the journal on personal websites or institutional repositories both before and after publication while providing bibliographic details that credit, if applicable, its publication in this journal.
